Mother kills two children in Raiwind.
RAIWIND (Dunya News) – A woman killed her two children by drowning them in a water tank and sustained critical wounds herself by attempting suicide, Dunya News reported on Friday.
The incident occurred in Raiwind’s Salamat Pura area where 27-year-old Naheed, following a dispute with husband, killed five-year-old Mehrooba and four-year-old Ehtasham at 04:00 AM and cut her own throat with a knife.
It has been learnt that Naheed was married to Nasir who belongs to Swabi and had come back to her parents’ home in Raiwind after a clash with her spouse. Nasir and his family had come to Salamat Pura to settle the dispute. Naheed took the extreme step while the family members were asleep.
The woman has been shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) in Raiwind in injured condition and the police have taken the dead bodies of the minors into custody. Further investigations are ongoing.
