Couple killed over love marriage in Lahore
Police are carrying out raids to arrest the murderer.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Police took the dead bodies of a girl and a man into custody and started investigation after a man killed his sister over marrying a guy of her own choice.
According to police, the incident took place on Monday evening at Ghazi Road Ichra where 24-year-old Kainat who eloped with her husband 25-year-old Asad from Gujranwala got seriously injured by shots fired at them by Kainat’s brother.
Police rushed to the spot and admitted both to the Service Hospital in a critical condition where both succumbed to their injuries.
Police say the brother of Kainat, Gul Sher, was involved who managed to escape the crime scene. However, police reported that with the help of forensic experts, various aspects are being collected from the scene and investigated.
Police shifted the bodies to the mortuary for post mortem while raids are being conducted to search the suspect.
