Drop scene: Fake bomb planted for extortion in Faisalabad.
FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – The fake bomb that was recovered from a shopping center in Samundri – Faisalabad’s district – was planted for extortion money, Dunya News reported on Thursday.
According to details, two suspects – Mohsin Raza and Talib Hussain – placed the dummy explosive and demanded extortion money worth Rs2 crore from the plaza owner after portraying themselves as terrorists.
The police arrested the accused after tracing them with the help of CCTV footage. The recording of their phone call has also been obtained by the authorities.
A case has been filed against the suspects under five sections including the Anti-Terrorism Act.
Let it be known that a perfume was packed with cables, seals, batteries and timing device installed on it to make it look like a bomb.
The miscreants shaped the perfume box with different installations to terrorize the people as no sort of explosives were found in the recovered item.
