LAHORE (Dunya News) - Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested 15 Chinese nationals and 22 others in continuation of its crackdown on the gangs involved in fake marriages with Pakistani girls for trafficking them to China.

According to Dunya News sources, FIA recovered three Pakistani girls. The arrests and recoveries were made during raids conducted in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

In another raid, FIA arrested one Chinese and a Pakistani national from DHA and Devine Garden.

Dunya News sources further said a Gujranwala girl who flew to China has returned Pakistan after alleged torture by her Chinese husband.

Rabia of Fatumund had married to Zuang in January in a ceremony held at Faisal Mosque Islamabad. Both left for China after a few weeks of marriage. Rabia said her husband had relations with other women too. She said many men came to their house every day and she was tortured.
Rabia said she escaped as soon as she found an opportunity and went to Pakistani Embassy where the officials helped her a lot.

She said a neighboring woman had shown her dreams of good life ahead by marrying a Chinese national. She has filed a request in court for revocation of Nikah. The affected girl further said government must take strict action against suspects involved in human trafficking.

On the other hand, another group of Chinese national involved in fake marriages has been revealed in Faisalabad. Mr Xen worked on many projects in Pakistan. He along with his wife and brother in law arranged marriages of 18 Faisalabad girls with Chinese nationals.

According to Dunya News, FIA has earlier busted a gang involved in illegal human trafficking. The suspects had bought a house in Eden garden where Chinese stayed before marriage ceremonies.
