Summary District administration would continue crackdown to ensure availability of petrol on prescribed rate
DERA ISMAIL KHAN (Web Desk) - The district administration in a crackdown against petrol pumps on Tuesday fined 12 petrol pumps with Rs 50,000 each for overcharging on per liter of gasoline.
As per the directive of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Omair, the assistant commissioner Oun Haider Gondal visited various petrol pumps within the city and checked the rates fixed by OGRA, said a press release issued here.
The AC found that 12 petrol pumps were involved in profiteering and issued warning to owners to observe OGRA rates.
He said the district administration would continue crackdown and ensure availability of petrol on prescribed rates.
