Doctor's alleged negligence kills another patient in Khanewal.
KHANEWAL (Dunya News) – Another patient lost his life due to alleged negligence of a doctor in Khanewal, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.
The details suggest that a man belonging to Khanewal’s Kot Dost Muhammad area – Noshad – was taken to the district hospital after cardiac pain.
It has been alleged that the doctor did not treat the patient for two hours and he died in front of his family. The kin accused that the doctor delayed the treatment saying his shift was over.
The deceased’s family members raised protest against the doctor and the hospital staff. MS Doctor Sumaira and Additional MS Doctor Amir Khera reached the emergency ward afterwards.
Doctor Amir Khera accused the storekeeper Zaffar of not providing medicine to the patient and started slapping him, and handed him over to the police along with dispenser Nadeem Malik.
On the other hand, Noshad’s family has claimed that he died owing to the negligence of the doctor and staff nurse, and demanded Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar to take notice of the incident.
