Increasing trend of registering fake kidnapping cases in Lahore: Report
Both resources and time of police were wasted in these fake cases
LAHORE (Dunya news) – 63 percent cases related to abduction of women and minors in 2018 were not true.
Dunya News acquired the data of case registered last year and it says overall 3,299 cases of abduction were registered last year and 2082 cases were dismissed being fake.
The data revealed that 2107 cases of women escape were registered out of which 1429 were based on wrong information.
840 cases of men and women kidnapping were registered and 426 were dismissed being fake. 352 cases of minors’ abduction were registered and 227 were not true.
The fake cases unveiled that women ,men and children involved in these cases left home by their own will. Some cases were registered to get revenge from opponents.
Both resources and time of police were wasted in these fake cases.
