Target killer escapes from custody, kills a constable
DSP Saddar Police Kanwar Asif informed that the two of his visitors helped him flee.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Javed Ali alias Baba, a suspected target killer, shot down a police constable along with two accomplices while escaping from the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre in Karachi. Two appointed policemen Gulzar and Aslam were arrested for negligence.
According to the sources, the murderer, who was arrested on January 12, was brought to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre from Central Jail of Karachi for treatment. He escaped from police custody with the officials’ rifle and killed the police officer as a revenge on the course of his actions.
DSP Saddar Police Kanwar Asif informed that the two of his visitors helped him flee. “They also snatched a sub machinegun (SMG) from one of police guards.” he added.
Baba has been booked with many cases including murder, possession of illegal arms and terrorism.
