Policemen involved in Maqsood murder case declared proclaimed offenders

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday has declared policemen involved in Maqsood murder case as proclaimed offenders.

During the proceedings, the court has also issued lifetime warrants of the personnel and ordered to present them as early as possible.

The officers were identified as Salahulddin aka Pappu and Aneel Nawab.

Other suspects that included assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Tariq Khan, Akbar Khan and Abdur Rehaman are on bail.

Maqsood became victim of an alleged shootout on Shara-e-Faisal in Karachi near Drigh Road when he was riding his auto rickshaw.

Maqsood was the only brother of five sisters, and was going to tie nuptial knot few days later.

Victim’s sisters had also threatened to burn themselves if justice is not served.
