Police arrest man for killing cousin out of jealousy in Peshawar
The eighth class student Abu Huraira was shot dead by unidentified men in Hayatabad area.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Peshawar police on Tuesday arrested a man for killing his 15-year-old cousin over jealousy.
The eighth class student Abu Huraira was shot dead by unidentified men in Hayatabad area a few days back while his friend Khizer sustained wounds.
After interrogation, police arrested the victim’s cousin Umair and recovered the murder weapon and motorcycle over his identification.
Hayatabad ASP Najamul Hunain told during a press conference that Umair is the son of Abu Huraira’s paternal uncle.
“He was residing in Peshawar University’s hospital nowadays. The motive behind the murder was financial jealousy from his uncle,” he said.
He maintained that Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) also cooperated in the arrest.
