Motorway Police foils attempt to shift arms shipment to Lahore

Shipment included 76 pistols, 22 different rifles, more than 26 thousand bullets, and 80 magazines.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Motorway Police seizes arms shipment near Rawalpindi being shifted to Lahore.

According to the details, Motorway police observed an abandoned car near Thalian Interchange.

Inspector Faisal Malik and Assistant Patrol Officer Waqar Khan checked the car during patrolling and found large shipment of arms. 



The recovered weapons included 76 pistols, 22 different rifles, more than 26 thousand bullets and 800 magazines.



The car and weapons have been handed over to Saddar exterior Rawalpindi Police Station after legal proceedings whereas search operation for unknown suspects is also in progress according to police.
