Over 17,000 Pakistanis deported from different countries in 2018: Report

Documents show that 603 persons have been arrested by different law enforcement agencies

Islamabad (Dunya News) – A comprehensive report of deported Pakistanis of year-2018 has been retrieved by Dunya News.

According to this report, more than 17,000 Pakistanis have been deported from different countries during the year 2018.

As per Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration Wing’s performance report for the year 2018, around 4913 Pakistanis from Iran, 876 from Turkey, 241 from Greece, 476 from Oman and 15 from Spain have been deported.

Documents show that 603 persons have been arrested by different law enforcement agencies, 134 wanted suspects have been arrested, court imposed fine of Rs. 10 crore and Rs. 8.5 crore has been recovered.

According to the report, Anti-Human Trafficking Cell arrested 505 smugglers while 1612 new cases have been filed this year.
Moreover, 1294 challans of cases have been presented in the court while 46 have been winded up.

FIA Immigration Wing’s quarterly performance report has been sent to Interior Ministry.
