ATC grants police 10-day physical remand of 7 murder accused
On August 7, at least five people of a same family were gunned down in Lahores Phularwan area.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has sent seven suspects involved in murder of five people in Phularwan on a ten-day physical remand.
The admin judge of ATC Sheikh Sajad Ahmad resumed the hearing of the case during which, the police were given ten-day physical remand of the accused identified as Zulfiqar, Iftikhar, Heera Iftikhar, Waqar, Qadeer, Liyaqat and Jabbar.
Earlier, investigation officer had submitted a plea to ATC seeking twenty days physical remand of the accused.
On August 7, at least five people of a same family were gunned down in Lahore’s Phularwan area.
Two groups opened fire at each other following a brawl over a property issue.
The deceased had been identified as Qurban, Abdul Rasheed, Bashir, Tanveer and Qadir Ali.
After the incident, FIR was filed under anti-terrorism act that included clause of murder and various others but no appropriate action has been taken yet.
