PTI councillor reportedly killed in Gujranwala
Police said at least seven people were critically injured in the firing incident.
GUJRANWALA (Dunya News) – A union councillor reportedly belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party was killed during a clash with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers in Faisal Town.
Reportedly, PML-N worker Ahmed Butt fired shots at several PTI activists in Faisal Town area of Gujranwala that resulted in the death of Afzal Mehar, general councillor of UC-31.
Police said as many as seven people namely Munib, Faisal, Shoaib, Muhammad Ali, Afzal and Imran were critically injured in the firing. They were shifted to hospital for treatment.
An investigation was underway.
