Customs officials foil gold smuggling bid, arrest suspect at Lahore airport

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Customs officials on Saturday foiled an attempt to smuggle gold to England at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore.

According to details, the security personnel conducted a raid at the airport and recovered 4 kg gold worth millions of rupees from a passenger travelling to Manchester in flight PK-710.



Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) gave information of  suspect Shoaib, who was habitual of smuggling gold from Lahore to Manchester, to the deployed officer.



The officers arrested the criminal and lodged a case against him.
