LAHORE (Dunya News) – Woman, alleged of attempting to kidnap a child in Green Town area was held by locals and beaten before police took her away, reported Friday.
For the past one and a half month, incidents of child abductions have surged across Punjab mainly in Lahore prompting locals to take extra care of their surroundings.
A woman was caught by residents of Green Town for alleged attempt to abduct a minor in Lajna Chowk area.
Police, after learning about the news, reached the site and took the woman in custody while locals protested against the incident.
On the other hand, Federal Investigation Agency earlier this week established a dedicated cell in Islamabad to bust organised group, if any operating in Lahore and other cities.
The agency has initiated investigations to curb the crime.
