FIA arrests four human traffickers from different Punjab cities
A case has been registered against the culprits
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Saturday has apprehended four human traffickers in operations in different cities.
The raids were carried out on directives of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar.
Lahore anti-human trafficking cell of the agency raided a locality in Gujrat and arrested Nasir Arshad and Muhammad Umer. A team of the federal agency acted on a tipoff in Khushab and arrested a trafficker named Alamdar Hussain.
The agency also conducted an operation in Toba Tek Singh and nabbed a criminal named Mazhar Mushtaq.
A case has been registered against the culprits.
Earlier on January 6, the FIA had apprehended wife of a human trafficker, an air hostess for aiding attempt of her husband to flee the country.
Ahtashamul Haq, a Pakistan national is included in the exit control list (ECL) however, immigration authorities let the culprit board the plane a night before arrest.
The human smuggler was onboard PK-741 which was bound for Saudi Arabia.
The agency took action in the matter after airport security force (ASF) learnt the news. The airborne craft was called back to Benazir International Airport.
Separately, on January 1, the anti-smuggling cell arrested Rafi Ahmad from Chenab Nagar Lalian who used to send people abroad illegally. In another operation, two human smugglers and proclaimed offenders Muhammad Hanif Raza and Amjad Hussain were detained from Lahore.
