Summary Police suspected killing committed within interpersonal relationship rather than motivated by racism
BERLIN (AFP) - A 23-year-old Eritrean woman was found dead in a German refugee home Wednesday, the suspected victim of a homicide, police said.
Police suspected a killing committed within "an interpersonal relationship" rather than one motivated by racism, said national news agency DPA.
The asylum seeker was among a record wave of refugees to Germany, expected to reach 500,000 this year, that has been met by a series of far-right hate crimes.
The woman was staying in a three-storey refugee shelter that houses some 260 people of many different nationalities, in the western city of Wiesbaden.
