Summary CIA has already arrested 4 people after getting approval of operation from Punjab government
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Government of Punjab approved on Monday the application of an operation to arrest netizens posting offensive and violent content. According to the details, netizens posting images containing arms or vulgar pictures or spreading sectarianism, will be arrested by Crime Investigation Agency (CIA).
CIA has already arrested 4 people after getting the approval of this operation from Punjab government. CIA has been given special task to keep a check on the activities of people on social media and confirm the background and other details of the people involved in spreading violence and vulgarity through internet.
The reports about the progress of the operation will be sent to the interior ministry of Punjab on daily basis. CIA will use three steps to carry out the operation; In first step the people posting such content will be asked to remove their posts from social media, then their family members will be called and told about the activity of the netizen and if CIA sees no improvement even after these warnings, then the people involved in using social media to spread hatred and voilence will be arrested immediately.
