Indian pacer takes 203rd international wicket, outshining Tendulkar’s tally
(Web Desk) - India’s fast bowling sensation, Mohammad Siraj, delivered a stunning performance in the fifth Test at The Oval against England, taking a 4-wicket haul that turned the match in India’s favour.
His fiery spell not only helped the team bounce back but also brought a personal milestone — Siraj surpassed cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar’s record of international wickets.
Widely known as “Miyan Bhai,” Siraj has now claimed 203 wickets across formats, overtaking Tendulkar’s tally of 201. While Sachin was primarily celebrated for his batting prowess and iconic run-scoring feats, he also picked up wickets during his career.
Siraj’s achievement places him among the elite, becoming the 25th Indian bowler to reach 200 or more international wickets, and now ranks 23rd on the list of India’s top wicket-takers.
His rise continues to inspire as he cements his place among India’s leading fast bowlers on the world stage.
