England scored 823 in response to Pakistan's 556.
MULTAN (Dunya News) - Pakistan have scored 29 for the loss of two wicket. Abdullah Shafique was clean bowled by Chris Woakes on the very first ball of the second innings, while Shan Masood departed for 11(22) after tea.
England declared their innings on 823 for seven, with a hefty lead of 267.
Harry Brook was the highest scorer who played an aggressive, long knock of 317 runs, while Joe Root scored 264 runs.
Both batsmen added 454 run for the fourth wicket partnership.
Harry Brook scored triple century in no time consuming only 310 balls in the first Test against Pakistan. Harry Brook is the sixth English batter to achieve this milestone.
Joe Root has crafted his career's sixth double century after being dropped by Babar Azam on short mid-wicket when he was 186, in the first session of Day 4.
Harry Brook has also continued from where he left off yesterday and reached to 150-run mark in the morning session on Thursday.
The third day of Test match being played at Multan Cricket Stadium was dominated by England.
The day concluded with England scoring 492 runs for the loss of just three wickets in their first innings against Pakistan.
Earlier in the day, England resumed their innings on day three at 96 runs for the loss of one wicket.
Zak Crawley contributed significantly, bringing up the team’s century with a boundary. However, he could not stay at the crease for long and was caught out after scoring 78 runs off Shaheen Shah Afridi’s delivery.
Ben Duckett was the third England batsman to be dismissed, scoring 84 runs.
Joe Root and Harry Brook were at the crease, with scores of 176 and 141 runs, respectively.
Earlier, Joe Root had scored a century breaking record for most runs in Test Cricket for England.
Root has also surpassed Younis Khan, Mahela Jayewardene, Sunil Gavaskar, and Brian Lara by scoring 35 centuries. Sachin Tendulkar tops the list with 51 centuries.
After the dismissal of Ben Duckett 84 (75), Harry Brook took the responsibility to score runs freely, constructing a fluent innings to score a half century. Aamir jamal claimed the wicket of Duckett.
English batters commenced the first session of Day 3 aggressively.
Ben Duckett reached his half century after facing only 45 balls.
Zak Crawly 78(85), found Aamir Jamal at short-midwicket while trying to flick one of the leg-side on Shaheen Afridi's delivery.
In pursuit of the towering 556 runs, England opened their innings with captain Ollie Pope and Zak Crawley. However, this partnership didn't last long, as captain Ollie Pope was dismissed without scoring by Naseem Shah.
Pakistan got out after scoring 556 runs, while England scored 96 runs for the loss of one wicket in their first innings by the end of day 2 of the Multan Test.
Skipper Shan Masood was the top scorer for Pakistan with 151 runs, Salman Ali Agha 104 and Abdullah Shafique scored 102 runs. Saud Shakeel managed to score 82 runs.
Jack Leach claimed three wickets, while Gus Atkinson and Brydon Carse shared two each. Chris Woakes, Joe Root and Shoaib Bashir also got a wicket each.
At the end of the first day of the Multan Test, Pakistan had scored 328 runs for the loss of 4 wickets, thanks to remarkable centuries from Shan Masood and Abdullah Shafique.
