Pakistan to inspect security arrangements in India before World Cup
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Before approving the team's travel to the neighbouring country for this year's World Cup, Pakistan is expected to send a security team to India to assess the venues.
Sources privy to the development said the delegation will visit India after consulting with the interior ministry and foreign ministry.
After the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) elects a new chairman, the security delegation is likely to travel to India's Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad.
According to a source in the Inter-Provincial Coordination (Sports) Ministry, "The security delegation will go with representation from the PCB to inspect the venues where Pakistan will play as well as the security and other arrangements made for them in the World Cup."
