As per the ICC’s statement, series since May 2020 were considered for the annual rankings, with series completed before May 2022 weighted at 50 percent and all subsequent series weighted at 100 percent.
“Australia's reign at the top of the Men's Test Rankings comes to an end after 15 months with India going past the Aussies ahead of next month's ICC World Test Championship Final”, stated the ICC.
The finale is set to be played on June 7, 2023 at Oval stadium.
As for the World T20I ranking, India maintained their domination with 13,889 points and a rating of 267 in 52 matches.

”India had a below-par T20 World Cup in 2021 but bounced back with a semi-final appearance in 2022. The Men in Blue have been terrific in T20Is since May 2020, having lost just the one bilateral series (against Sri Lanka in 2021), emerging victorious in 13 other series while one ended in a draw (against South Africa in 2022)”, the ICC stated.
Pakistan are at number 4, number 6, and number 5 in the T20I, Test, and the ODI rankings respectively. India enjoy third spot on the ODI rankings.
