Peshawar Zalmi gets Babar Azam as 'powerhouse'

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Pakistan national cricket team skipper Babar Azam has joined the Peshawar Zalmi for the upcoming eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The news went viral on Friday, when the Zalmi owner, Javed Afridi started to put the fans to the test by first sharing a tweet – comprised of a video – for which he wrote the caption, “GUESS?”

It would not be much difficult for the cricketing fans to recognize, who is seen in the video – clearly Babar.

After giving some suspense, Javed Afridi cleared the air over Babar’s induction in Peshawar Zalmi by tweeting for the second time.

This tweet was about welcoming Babar Azam to the yellow outfit, but in a typical Pashtun style. The caption stated, “Pakhair Raghlay to Zalmi Family, Babar Azam”.

It merits mention here that the country’s premier tournament is scheduled to start from February 9 to March 19 [next year].
