Peshawar Zalmi elected to field against Islamabad United
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Peshawar Zalmi picked up their third win of the tournament by beating Islamabad United by six wickets in the 10th match of PSL 2021. Peshawar reached the 119-run target in the 18th over with plenty of wickets to spare.
Tom Kohler Cadmore top-scored for the winning side with 46 runs while Haider Ali came in late and hit a quick-fire 36 off 18 deliveries. hasan Ali was impressive with the ball, picking up 2 wickets for just 14 runs in his 4 over quota.
In the first inning of the match, Peshawar Zalmi bowled out Islamabad United for just 118 runs. The two-time champions could only survive 17.1 overs with opener Alex Hales putting up a valiant fight.
The Englishman scored 41 off 27 deliveries hitting 5 boundaries and a six. For Peshawar, Captain Wahab Riaz and Saqib Mahmood did the most damage, picking up four and three wickets respectively.
The match was played at National Stadium Karachi and was the second match of Saturday’s double-header. In the first match, Karachi Kings handily beat Multan Sultans by seven wickets with more than an over to spare.
