PSL 6: Karachi Kings sail to 7-wicket win against Multan Sultans

Sultans scored 195 runs for the loss of six wickets in their limited quota of twenty overs.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Babar Azam led the Karachi Kings to an easy victory over Multan Sultans on Saturday, reaching the 196-run target in the penultimate over with 7 wickets to spare.

Babar Azam (MoM) scored 90 runs off 60 balls with the help of 13 boundaries and a six while wicket-keeper Joe Clarke scored a blistering 54 off just 26 deliveries.

Multan Sultans had set a target of 196 runs against Karachi Kings after being put into bat by Imad Wasim. Sultans scored 195 runs for the loss of six wickets in their limited quota of twenty overs.

James Vince remained the top scorer for Multan and smashed 45 off 29. Skipper Mohammad Rizwan and Sohaib Maqsood scored 43 and 34 respectively. Karachi’s Arshad Iqbal picked up two wickets.

Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans are at number four and five respectively in the six-team tournament. Kings (2 points) played two matches and won one while Sultans (2 points) also managed to secure victory only once but in three games.

Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans have faced each other seven times in the PSL, with Karachi winning four times and Multan emerging victorious once. Two matches were drawn.
