Financial irregularities worth millions of rupees in PSL revealed

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The financial irregularities of total Rs593 million have been revealed in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season one and two.

According to Special Audit Report submitted to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), five out of 38 paragraphs report, a total of Rs593 million has been identified for irregularities.

According to the audit report, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) paid Rs248.6 million extra to the franchise for Central Pool Income while no laws and regulations were kept in this regard. Advance payment of Rs 246.045 million was made to the vendors of PSL without making financial rolls. No bank guarantee was also taken in this regard. The revenue generated around Rs54.49 million from five franchises was also not received.
