Friendship cricket series between Pakistan, China and Afghanistan ends.
BEIJING (Dunya News) – A friendship cricket series between Pakistan, China and Afghanistan has come to an end in Beijing, Dunya News reported on Thursday.
The final match was played between teams comprising Under-19 cricketers from China [five per side] and players from all three countries at the Tsinghua University, Beijing.
Two Chinese cricketers – who joined Peshawar Zalmi during the Pakistan Super League two years ago – also participated in the match under the youth friendship and culture exchange program to promote cricket in China.
The closing ceremony was attended by higher officials of Pakistan embassy and Chinese foreign ministry. Slogans of Pakistan-China friendship were raised on the occasion.
Chinese students in large numbers watched the match and were guided about the sport by Pakistan U-19 cricketers and coaches.
Pakistan and Afghanistan crickets also visited Mountain Tai, Great Wall of China, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, art gallery and museum.
