Fawad Chaudhry urges ICC to take notice against India for 'politicising' cricket
He also urged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to take legal notice and lodge a formal protest.
ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has pleaded with the International Cricket Council (ICC) to take a stern action against the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for ‘politicising’ cricket.
The information minister took to Twitter on Friday evening and expressed strong reservations over Indian national cricket team wearing army caps during the third one-day international (ODI) against Australia.

Contrarily, the BCCI stated that the Indian cricket team wore army caps to pay tribute to the paramilitary troops who were killed in the Pulwama incident on February 14.
The information minister said that cricket is a gentlemen’s game. He expressed hope that the ICC will take notice against India for politicizing cricket.
He also urged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to take legal notice and lodge a formal protest.
Fawad Ch said that the PCB should wear black arm bands to remind the world about Indian atrocities in Kashmir.
Following Fawad Ch, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Saturday has also criticized the BCCI and Indian cricket team for wearing army caps in the third ODI against Australia in Ranchi on Friday.
He spoke to the media in Sukkur and said, "The world saw that the Indian cricket team wore military caps instead of their own, did the ICC not see this? We think that it is the ICC s responsibility to take notice of the matter without the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) bringing it up."
