The PTI leader in his letter appealed the NAB to immediately take the PSL record in custody

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday written a letter to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) requesting the anti-graft watchdog to open an investigation over alleged corruption against Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi.

The letter was written by PTI leader Javaid Badar in which he demanded the anti-graft agency to launch probe against the PCB chairman.

The letter stated that Najam Sethi was involved in corruption in Pakistan Super League (PSL) due to which he wasn’t letting the PSL audit report to be made public.

A letter was written to the PCB chairman to make audit report public, the letter added.

The PTI leader in his letter appealed the NAB to immediately take the PSL record in custody.

The letter further accused Najam Sethi of failing to make PSL a successful event.

Earlier, a report revealing alleged financial and administration irregularities of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi had been submitted to PM-designate Imran Khan.

The PCB chairman had appointed friends and closed family members on high-level posts. Naila Bhatti was awarded director post just after three month of her appointment. Likewise, Aun Zaidi was promoted to assistant manager of PCB’s social media wing.

Sources privy to PTI told our correspondent that PM-in-waiting will not only force Sethi to relinquish but would also initiate probe into mammoth irregularities.

Sources added that Khan will also direct Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to take probe of pending cases against Sethi to their logical end.

Ever since victory of cricketer-turned-politician in general elections, air is thick with rumors that Khan is mulling over removing incumbent PCB chairman from his post. The likely successor of Sethi will be Wasim Akram.
