(Web Desk) – Former left-arm pace sensation aka ‘Swing Ka Sultan’ [Master of swing in English] has put his weight behind Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan in General Elections 2018.
Crediting Khan for historic World Cup victory back then in 1992, Akram forecasted that Pakistan can become a ‘great democratic country’ only in the leadership of cricketer-turned politician Imran Khan.
Akram took to popular micro-blogging website Twitter to share his political views.
He tweeted, “It was in your leadership skip @ImrankhanPTI that we became world champions in 1992. It is in your leadership that we can again become a great democratic country. #voteforkapatan#nayapakistan”.

Before Akram, former Pakistan coach and right-arm fast bowler Waqar Younis has also endorsed Khan’s political narrative.
