Being sent in to bat, Sultans lost both of their openers in the first two overs. In a surprise move later, Sohail Tanvir was sent to bat. He along with Shoaib Maqsood added 38 runs for third wicket. He was dismissed on 19 runs.
On the other end of the wicket, Malik kept momentum going and hit bowlers all over the ground to lift his team to 153 in allotted 20 overs.
