Lahore Qalandars won the toss and decide to bowl first against Multan Sultans

DUBAI (Dunya News) -- Lahore Qalandars are chasing a target of 180 runs after sublime batting performance from Multan Sultans.

With the loss of three wickets in 13 overs that of Sunil Narine, captain Brendon McCullum and Umar Akmal, Qalandars are on 110. 

Batting of Multan Sultans was mostly good as opening pair Ahmad Shahzad and Kumar Sangakkara gave a blistering start. The batting side had not lost any wicket in the first 10 overs.

Shahzad was sent back to the pavilion by Mustafizur Rahman while Yasir Shah got through the defence of Sohaib Maqsood and bowled him out. Sultans scored 179 with the loss of five in their 20 overs. 

Sangakkara top-scored with 62 from 44 balls with three sixes. Skipper Shoaib Malik scored 48 from 28 balls.



Lahore Qalandars won the toss and decided to bowl first against Multan Sultans who are already one up in the series with their win against Peshawar Zalmi yesterday.

Multan Sultans are one up in the series as they registered their first win in the tournament by defeating Peshawar Zalmi side with the help of Kumara Sangakara’s fifty.


In the earlier game today, Quetta Gladiators were beaten on Friday by Karachi Kings by 19 runs in second match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018 in Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
