Karachi Kings beat Gladiators by 19 runs
Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators clashed in second match of PSL 2018 in Dubai.
DUBAI (Dunya News) – Quetta Gladiators were beaten on Friday by Karachi Kings by 19 runs in second match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018 in Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Imad Wasim-led Kings cruised to victory as Gladiators could not meet 150 target in 20 overs.
Rossouw was caught on Wasim’s delivery at 8.3 overs by Ravi Bopara at the boundary.
Shane Watson and Azhar Shafeeq returned to the pavilion early in the innings when Gladiators were at 4. Watson was run out at individual score of one on Mohmmad Amir s delivery. The other batsman who fell prey to Gladiators attack was Shafeeq.
Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir took the ball to alternate attack from Gladiators side.
Kevin Pietersen was next in line to return to the pavilion.
Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed had to go off the field after Shahid Afridi delivered a LBW to the batsman giving the stats a revision; 66 for 5 at 11.3 overs.

Gladiators were 26 for 3 at 5.3 overs. Rilee Rossouw played Mills at 6.3 for a six taking Gladiators to 29-3.
Earlier, Karachi Kings won the toss with Imad Wasim and Sarfraz Ahmed contested the toss to kick start the match.
Gladiators were 112-6 at 16.5 overs with Kings apparently in charge of the match at that point.

Joe Denly of Karachi Kings who opened with Khurram Manzoor was sent back to the pavilion by Shane Watson at 4.3 overs. Denly was run out as the ball went straight into the stumps from Manzoor’s bat.
Kings were 50 up by 7.3 overs after Khurram Manzoor was accompanied by Babar Azam. However, Azam returned as Rahat Ali delivered and Azam was caught before the wicket when Kings were 57.
With Azam gone at 9.1 overs, Colin Ingram and Manzoor managed three singles in the following deliveries. Manzoor was sent back to the pavilion after he added 35 runs to Kings list.

However, the woes of Kings were numbed by a smashing six by Ingram to Rahat Ali at 11.4 overs.
After another sixer and a convincing addition of runs to Kings total, Ingram was sent back when Kings were 131 in 16 overs. Former Zalmi Afridi stepped in the field to do the job however, Ravi Bopara on the other end was caught by Watson in the wide slip.
Kings were 138 for six as skipper Imad Wasim walked off the field at 18.4 overs.
Not long after that, Shane Watson clinched another wicket in the match, an important one; Afridi. Watson decorated his statistics further with Mohammad Irfan (jr) as he was sent back at 0 (1).

Mohammad Irfan fell as Watson s 200th wicket in Twenty20Internationals.
Kings were 144-8 at 19.3 overs until Watson struck again and showed Rizwan the way out with Sarfraz Ahmed catching him behind the wicket.
