West Indies' wicket-keeper batsman Denesh Ramdin will replace Chris Lynn in PSL 2018

(Web Desk) – Amid the major setback to Lahore Qalandars in before the opening of Pakistan Super League (PSL) third edition, the franchise has announced replacement for the injured Chris Lynn.

West Indies’ wicket-keeper batsman Denesh Ramdin will replace the Australian batsman in PSL 2018.

Lahore Qalandars took to Twitter and updated their fans about the development. Ramdin was initially expected to appear in the tournament on March 1.

However, after Lynn was ruled out of PSL third edition due a dislocated shoulder, Ramdin is now expected to play as cover for Lynn from the very first game. Lynn suffered a shoulder injury during T20 series final against New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland. Cricket Australia had confirmed that 27-year-old dynamic hitter would return to Brisbane to ascertain magnitude of his injury.

Brendon McCullum, skipper of Lahore Qalandars, said he is ready to play fearless cricket and improve in the PSL as compared to past performances.

The Kiwi Qalandar believes his side has the right combination of batting and bowling, and they will play as one unit.

Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans will go head-to-head in the PSL 2018 opener today.
