SRINAGAR (Dunya News) – Police have booked two teams and arrested four cricket players in Indian-held Kashmir after a video of them playing Pakistan’s national anthem ahead of a match on January 4 was circulated on the social media.

The Kashmiri youths, wearing green jerseys, were arrested for honouring Pakistan by playing the national anthem before a local cricket match.

Indian media quoted Superintendent of Police (SSP) concerned who said that a First Information Report (FIR) was filed under Section 13 of the Unlawful Activities Act.

In April 2016, a similar case had surfaced when youths were detained for wearing green jerseys of Pakistan’s national eleven for a local cricket match.
