Asia Cup 2018 likely to be moved out of India: reports

LAHORE (Dunya News)- As India’s Modi continues to rally on anti-Pakistan rhetoric, reports are emerging that 2018 Asia Cup could be moved out of India, in case a conclusion is not reach whether to host Pakistan or not.

A BCCI official, on condition of anonymity told Times of India it seems highly unlikely that they (India) will host Pakistan in near future.

The conclusion was reached on basis of fact that BCCI did not give permission to Pakistan’s team to participate in under-19 Asia cup.

Cricketing ties between the two neighbours are at record low ever since Modi’s rise to power. The strained relations between PCB and BCCI deteriorated further when former field a compensation claim of USD 70 million against BCCI for not honouring the agreement to hold a bilateral cricket series.

The last bilateral series between the two cricketing-giants was played in 2013 in India featuring three ODis and two T20Is.
