KUALA LUMPUR (Dunya News) – Pakistan have on Thursday defeated Bangladesh in the first semifinal of the 2017 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup by 2 runs on the Duckworth-Lewis (D/L) method, and qualified for the final.



The match was played in Kuala Lumpur where Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first. Bangladesh score 274 runs for the loss of six wickets in their limited quota of 50 overs.

Pinak Ghosh was the top scorer for Bangladesh with 82 runs. Munir Riaz from Pakistan remained the pick of the bowlers by claiming three wickets.

The target for Pakistan was reduced to 198 runs in 39 overs due to rain interruption. The Green Shirts managed to score 199/5 in 39 Overs and won the match by 2 runs.

Pakistan’s Mohammad Taha played a brilliant innings of 92 runs. Qazi Onik from Bangladesh dismissed two batsmen.
