GOJRA (Dunya News) – Pakistan all-rounder Aamir Yamin was on Sunday detained by police in Gojra for overtaking the vehicle of DPO Toba Tek Singh.

The cricketer was kept in custody for two hours by Gojra police, and was only allowed to go after the news aired on media.

According to details, Aamir Yamin was on his way to Faisalabad when he tried to overtake a car near Toba Tek Singh. The vehicle belonged to DPO Toba Tek Singh Usman Akram Gondal who was apparently offended by the cricketer and ordered to arrest him.

Aamir Yamin contacted Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) security officer and informed about the incident. The security officer assured the police of the cricketer’s identity, and police set Yamin free after giving him a warning.

SHO Gojra City Police Station later opted the stance that Aamir Yamin was detained on DPO’s orders for using mobile phone while driving.
