Summary Some late fireworks by Wahab Riaz helped Pakistan to put a defend-able total on the board
PORT OF SPAIN (Dunya News) - Pakistan managed to score 132 runs of the alloted twenty overs after being put into bat first at Queen s Park Oval, reported Dunya News.
West Indies spinners created trouble for the batting side as they looked in deep trouble at one stage. Some late fireworks by Wahab Riaz helped Pakistan to put a defendable total on the board.
Babar Azam 28, Shoaib Malik 27 and Wahab Riaz 24 were the leading scorers in Pakistan innings.

Hasan Ali came to bowl in the fifth over as he went for a boundary and conceded 9 runs in the over. The six over was bowled by Wahab who bowled fast and conceded six runs in the runs. Samuels took the charge in the eight over as he thumped Imad for a boundary and two massive sixes. A total of 19 runs were scored of the eighth over.
Shadab came to bowl in the ninth over and bowled brilliantly to remove Walton of the first ball of the ninth over. Samuels thumped Shadab of the penultimate ball for four more. Hassan Ali trapped Simmons right in front of the wicket however; Samuels pummeled two boundaries in tenth over as nine runs came of his second as well.

After putting a total of 132 runs on the board, the skipper opted to start the proceeding with Imad Wasim who bowled a brilliant first over and conceded just two runs. Unlucky for the West Indies as opener Lewis was run out after an inadvertent collision. A total of nine runs were scored of the second over by Sohail Tanvir.
Imad came to ball in the third over and bowled brilliantly as just 5 runs of the third over.
In the fourth over another collision between Ahmad Shehzad and Walton left Ahmad Shehzad wriggled in pain. Ahmad Shehzad was stretchered off the field using an ambulance.

At the half-way stage of the innings, Pakistan seemed to be in deep trouble as only 49 runs were scored and three wickets had fallen down. Moreover, as the debutant Fakhar Zaman played a skier and was caught at deep mid-wicket boundary, the loss further added to the woes of Pakistan team.
The skipper came into bat and joined Shoaib Malik at the crease. In the twelfth over of the innings, star all-rounder Shoaib Malik took the charge and thumped Brathwaite for six and two boundaries as he managed to fetch 15 runs of the over.
Meanwhile, the skipper also joined the party as he scored a boundary of the third ball of Narine’s next over. Holder came in to ball in the fourteenth over as only four runs were conceded of him. Shoaib Malik again took the charge in the fifteenth over as he thumped Brathwaite for four more on the first ball. However, ace all-rounder was caught by Pollard right at the edge of the circle after scoring 28 runs.
The skipper also departed in the sixteenth over as he was caught by Sammuels of the bowling of Narine in the sixteenth over of the match. In the same over, Sohail Tanvir scored a boundary of the first ball he faced however was trapped plumb in front of the wicket by Narine who bowled brilliantly so far in the match.
In the next over, Imad thumped the ball straight over the bowler’s head for four more. On the third ball of the seventeenth over, Brathwaite caught a stunner as he removed Imad Wasim of the bowling of Williams.
Holder came into ball in the next over as Shadhab hit him for four more of the last ball. A total of 10 runs were scored of the eighteenth over.
Wahab took the charge in the penultimate over as he thumped Williams for a six and four in his last over. In the last over, he again took the charge again as he thumped Brathwaite for a six over long-on. However, Wahab was caught by Holder after he scored valuable 24 runs.
Shadab also got run out of the last ball of the final over.

After being asked to bat first at Queen’s Park, the start of the proceedings was not the favourable for the visiting side. Kamran Akmal was cleaned up by Badree on fifth ball of the first over as he went back to the pavilion without registering a single run to the scoreboard. Babar Azam thumped Badree for four runs as he started his innings in the first over.
On the third ball of second over, Ahmad Shehzad played a glorious square cut for four more of the bowling of Holder. Badree came to bowl again in the third over and conceded just three runs. Moreover, Williams came to bowl his first over and started off with the maiden as Babar Azam wasn’t been able to score even a single run in fourth over.
However, the youngster was able to fetch two boundaries of the next over as he thumped Holder twice in the fifth over. In the next over, Badree came to bowl and conceded just four runs.
Brathwaite came into bowl his first and eighth over of the innings and provided crucial breakthrough as he removed Babar Azam of the penultimate ball. Babar Azam departed after scoring 27 runs. In the next over, Ahmad Shehzad also departed after scoring 14 runs. Pakistan were forced to be on back-foot as two wickets fell in quick succession.
At half-way stage, Pakistan were 49 for the loss of three wickets as Shoaib Malik and Fakhar Zaman were playing on the crease.
