Summary Champions Trophy would be played in June along with many more interesting matches this year

LAHORE (Daily Dunya) - The last year was very entertaining for cricket fans as World T20 was played but this year would not be less, with Champions Trophy and many more interesting matches.

Pakistan cricket team started the year in Australia and after the test series, they would play One-Day International (ODI) series consisting of 5 matches from 13 to 26 January.

After that Pakistani players would participate in second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) in February-March, but the schedule has not been finalised yet.

Pakistani team s next assignment would be ODI, Test and T20 series in West Indies, which is scheduled to be held in March-April according to ICC calendar, but both boards would finalise the dates soon.

The biggest event of the year would be ICC Champions Trophy in June, which would be hosted by England. It would start from 1 June and final would be played on 18 June. Pakistan is scheduled to play India on 4 June, South Africa on 7 June and Sri Lanka on 12 June.

Pakistan may also tour Bangladesh in July-August, but only if the boards are able to finalise the dates. The last assignment of the year should be series against Sri Lanka in November-December in UAE.

Among other big series in 2017, would be Australia s tour of India, in which 4 test matches would be played, but before that India would play 5 ODIs against England, whereas South Africa would tour New Zealand.
