Summary Fast bowler Mohammad Asif also included in the drafting procedure
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistani cricketer Salman Butt, who was banned from playing international cricket after he was found involved in a spot-fixing scandal, shall represent the Lahore Whites in the upcoming National T20 Cup, reported Dunya News.
The process of the drafting of the players who shall take part in the tournament was held at Royal Palm in Lahore. Butt was included in the Lahore Whites team which will be led by wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal.
Fast bowler Mohammad Asif who was also banned from playing international cricket because of the spot-fixing scandal was also included in the drafting process but has yet not been considered to be made part of any team.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) proceeded with the drafting procedure following the success of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the Pakistan Cup.
The event shall kick-off in Rawalpindi from August 25.
