DELHI (Web Desk) - England defeated Afghanistan by 15 runs in the fixture between the two sides of Group 1 of the ICC World T20 2016 on Wednesday, reported Dunya News.
After winning the toss and batting first, England were able to put 142 runs on the board with the loss of 7 wickets. Moeen Ali was the top scorer for England with 41 runs whereas Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan took 2 wickets each for Afghanistan.
England were able to restrict Afghanistan at 127 runs with the loss of 9 wickets. Rashid and Willey took two wickets each for England. Shafiqullah was Afghanistan s top scorer with 35 runs.
