Summary Younis Khan overhauled Javed Miandad's aggregate of 8832 runs in Test cricket.
(Web Desk) - Wisden India on Monday included the name of Pakistani star cricketer Younis Khan in the list of six best players in fourth edition of Wisden Almanack.
Other players include India s Ravichandra Ashwin and Vinay Kumar, Sri Lanka s Dhammika Prasad and England s Joe Root.
According to details, Vijay Merchant and Bhagwat Chandrasekhar featured in the Hall of Fame section.
Having Younis in the team, Pakistan had an unprecedented year in 2015.
Younis Khan announced his retirement from one-day cricket after first day-night international against England in Abu Dhabi.
The 37-year-old had wanted to leave the format on a high after he was selected in the 16-man squad for the four-match series against England despite patchy recent form.
Younis has scored 7,240 runs with seven hundreds and 48 half-centuries in one-dayers. He has come a long way to be Pakistan s highest run-getter in Test cricket.
The 37-year-old overhauled Javed Miandad’s aggregate of 8832 runs, adding to his already achieved Pakistan record of 30 centuries.
