LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Pakistan former great Wasim Akram and Australian star Dean Jones on Tuesday arrived in Liberty Market of Lahore and played tape-ball cricket after years in order to win support for the Islamabad team in Pakistan Super League (PSL), reported Dunya News.
As Wasim and Jones arrived in Liberty Market, fans gathered around them in large numbers within minutes. National cricketers Mohammad Irfan and Babar Azam also accompanied the former greats. Islamabad team director Wasim Akram said that his PSL team is strong and said he was happy for the young players will be able to play on a good platform.
Islamabad coaching staff also includes Dean Jones according to whom Pakistani cricketers will get a good chance to prepare for Asia Cup and Twenty20 World Cup from this tournament. Irfan said that he wants to benefit from playing under Wasim and learn a lot from him.
