Summary Ajmal's truth has infuriated Indian media as the 'magician' exposes Indian spinners' illegal actions
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Indian media has gone berserk over star Pakistani spinner Saeed Ajmal’s truth about the illegal action of Indian bowlers Harbhajan Singh and Ravichandra Ashwin. Instead of responding to allegations, Indian media started hurling accusations at Ajmal, reported Dunya News.
Talking on Dunya News’ program ‘Cricket Deewangi’, Saeed Ajmal exposed the Indian bowlers’ illegal actions and Indian media was unable to digest this truth. Bitterly criticizing International Cricket Council (ICC), Saeed Ajmal had claimed that the international body of cricket is destroying the art of off-spin bowling. He had also pointed at the leniency shown by the ICC officials for the Indian spinners like Harbhajan and Ashwin.
Indian media couldn’t take this truth and jumped in to defend Harbhajan. Talking to an Indian channel, former Pakistan captain Mohammad Yousuf also demanded action against Harbhajan and all other bowlers who have an illegal bowling action.
It is pertinent to mention here that Saeed Ajmal had said, while talking to Dunya News, that every Pakistani bowler who performs well is banned by the ICC. “When Bilal Asif wasn’t able to get any wickets against Zimbabwe, it was fine. But when he got 5 wickets, his action was declared suspicious”, said Ajmal.
“If they check Harbhajan Singh’s action, it would definitely have an over 15-degree bend” said the ‘magician’. He went on to claim that even Ashwin bowls illegal deliveries. “Ashwin may have occasionally bowled illegal deliveries but at least Harbhajan s action is a clear fraud”, said Ajmal. “Yet ICC closes its eyes on them”, he added.
