South Africa bat against India in fifth ODI
The one-day series will be followed by four Test matches.
MUMBAI (AFP) - South Africa captain AB de Villiers won the toss and elected to bat in the series-deciding fifth one-day international against India in Mumbai on Sunday.
The five-match series is locked at 2-2 after hosts India defeated the tourists by 35 runs in Chennai on Thursday to set up a thrilling finale at Mumbai s Wankhede Stadium.
India kept the same side which won the fourth ODI while South Africa made two changes, with Dean Elgar and Kyle Abbott replacing paceman Chris Morris and left-arm spinner Aaron Phangiso.
The Proteas remained without all-rounder JP Duminy and fast bowler Morne Morkel, who are both injured.
The one-day series will be followed by four Test matches. South Africa won the earlier Twenty20 series 2-0.
