Summary Director Domestic Cricket says Salman Butt, Asif will need 6-8 months to return to domestic cricket
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Director Domestic Cricket Intikhab Alam has on Sunday said that it will take time for former captain Salman Butt and Test bowler Mohammad Asif to make a return. He said that the players convicted of spot-fixing will still need 6 to 8 months to return to domestic cricket, reported Dunya News.
Holding a press conference along with Head Cricket Committee Shakeel Sheikh in Islamabad, Intikhab Alam said that National Twenty-20 tournament will help build the national team. He further said that Asif and Butt will not be able to make immediate return to the domestic cricket.
Shakeel Sheikh said on this occasion that the boundary wall of the Islamabad Stadium has been constructed and matters will be decided with the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in this regard soon.
