Summary Famous for his friendship with India, Rawalpindi Express says no need for mutual series right now
LAHORE: (Web Desk, Dunya News) – Former Pakistani speed-star Shoaib Akhtar, who is famous for his friendship with India and Indians, has on Friday said that there is no need for a cricket series between India and Pakistan under the current strained relations, reported Dunya News.
The ‘Rawalpindi Express’ has suggested postponing of the Pakistan-India series that is due to be held in United Arab Emirates (UAE). Shoaib Akhtar is famous for his friendship with India during and after his international cricket career but this statement by him has raised many eyebrows.
Shoaib said that there should be no cricket between the two countries unless the strained relations get normalized. Earlier, Secretary BCCI (Board of Cricket Control in India) Anurag Thakur had completely ruled out series between India and Pakistan.
