GALLE (AFP) - Sri Lanka, trailing Pakistan by 117 runs on the first innings, were 144-4 in their second knock at lunch on the fifth day of the first Test in Galle on Sunday.
Resuming at 63-2, Sri Lanka lost nightwatchman Dilruwan Perera off the first ball, before Dimuth Karunaratne (63 not out) and Lahiru Thirinamme (44) put on 69 for the fourth wicket to give the hosts the lead.
Skipper Angelo Mathews was unbeaten on five with his team 27 runs ahead with two sessions remaining in the first match of the three-Test series.
